The Barbican is located
in the heart of the ancient city of London and is readily
accessible by rail, underground and road.
We are blessed to have our campus
in a wonderful location, situated in the nerve centre of
London. The Barbican boasts theatres, street markets, museums
and various historical sites of London. If your interests
include tourism, history and historic architecture, this
is an area rich in the stories of old London. St Paul’s
Cathedral, foremost of the many Wren churches, a fine and
rare example of London’s city gates and the thousand
year old Tower of London. If you are caught by the new rather
than the old, then you will be interested in buildings such
as the Gherkin, the London stock exchange and the Helmet
.This shows an excellent contrast between old historical
buildings and modern innovative architecture.
Why not attend one of the various
festivals, theatre, art and dance exhibitions at the Barbican
centre, or enjoy a day out at the 2010 Lord Mayor’s
Show. This will be on Saturday 13 November at 11am. Your
location is an education within itself so take full advantage
of it.
